Data controller
ADRA DRC (Adventist Development and Relief Agency — Democratic Republic of Congo), 1995, Avenue des Écuries, Joli Parc Ngaliema, Kinshasa, is responsible for the data processed through this site.
Contact: info@adradrcongo.org — +243 971 306 935.
Data collected
Contact form: name, email address, phone (optional), subject (optional) and message. This information is used solely to respond to your request.
Newsletter: email address and chosen language at the time of sign-up. You can unsubscribe at any time, with no need to justify it, via the link at the bottom of every email we send.
Technical data: IP address and timestamp, recorded with each contact message for security and anti-spam purposes.
Traffic statistics: an anonymous identifier, stored in a cookie for 2 years, lets us tell visitors apart without ever identifying them personally. Pages viewed, device type, and the site you came from (if any) are recorded. An estimate of your country and city is computed from your IP address at the time of the visit, through a third-party service (ip-api.com) — that IP address itself is never kept in our systems, only the already-resolved country and city are.
Cookies: a strictly necessary session cookie (Laravel) is set automatically for the site to function. Audience-measurement cookies and the traffic tracking described above are only enabled after your explicit consent via the cookie banner, and can be withdrawn at any time.
Purpose and legal basis
Contact form data and newsletter sign-up data are processed on the basis of your consent (a voluntary action on your part), solely to respond to your request or keep you informed about ADRA DRC’s work.
Audience-measurement and traffic-statistics cookies, when enabled, are based on your consent and are only used to improve the site (traffic, pages viewed, approximate geographic origin).
Retention period
Messages sent via the contact form are kept for 2 years from the last exchange, then deleted.
Your email address stays on the newsletter list until you unsubscribe — at any time, in one click.
The anonymous traffic-statistics identifier automatically expires after 2 years.
Data sharing
Your data is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for commercial purposes. It may be passed to technical providers strictly necessary for the site to function: hosting, email delivery, and — only when traffic tracking is enabled — the approximate IP-based geolocation service mentioned above.
Your rights
In accordance with applicable data protection regulations, you have the right to access, rectify and delete your data. To exercise these rights, contact us at info@adradrcongo.org.
For the newsletter specifically, you can unsubscribe yourself at any time via the link in every email you receive, with no need to contact us.
